How do I start playing?

Open Pivot Words and tap any game mode tile on the home screen. Each mode is independent — play them in any order, as many times as you like.

Do I need an account?

No. All five game modes work completely offline without any account. Sign In with Apple is optional.

Is internet required?

No — Pivot Words is fully offline. The only feature requiring internet is loading ads (if you haven't purchased Remove Ads).

How does Link work?

Link — Chain 8 compound words. The end of one word starts the next. (e.g. SUN → SUNLIGHT → LIGHTHOUSE...)

How does Hunt work?

Hunt — Boggle-style grid. Swipe connected letters in any direction to form words. Longer words score more.

How does Grid work?

Grid — Like Wordle. Six chances to crack the hidden word. Green = right spot, yellow = wrong spot, gray = not in word.

How does Blitz work?

Blitz — Real word or fake? Tap as fast as you can. One wrong tap ends your streak.

How does Step work?

Step — Change exactly one letter at a time to transform one word into another in the fewest moves.

Where is my progress saved?

Scores, streaks, and progress are saved locally on your device. Cloud sync is planned for a future update.

I deleted the app and lost my progress.

Because Pivot Words is fully offline, deleting the app deletes your save data. We apologize for the inconvenience — iCloud backup is coming in a future release.

How do I remove ads?

Tap "Remove Ads" in the app settings. It's a one-time $1.49 purchase — no subscription, no recurring charge.

I purchased Remove Ads but ads are still showing.

Tap "Restore Purchases" in the app settings. If ads continue, email us with your Apple ID receipt.

Can I transfer my purchase to a new device?

Yes. Sign into the same Apple ID and tap "Restore Purchases" — restored at no additional charge.
